Facebook: Mark Zuckerberg donated 99% of its shares – Le Point

The boss-founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan wife Tuesday announced the birth of their first child, a daughter, and the gift during their lives 99% of their shares to a new foundation, the “Chan Zuckerberg Initiative”. “We will pass on 99% of our Facebook shares, currently valued at $ 45 billion, during our lives to advance this mission,” write the parents in a “Letter to our daughter Max” posted on Facebook.

Three miscarriages

Mark Zuckerberg announced before birth its intention to take two months paternity leave. By revealing pregnancy in late July, he was also entrusted on Facebook that the couple had been trying for several years to have a child but Priscilla had three miscarriages.
