Cannes 2015: Palme d’Or for Dheepan Jacques Audiard … – Premiere.fr Cinema

The 68th Cannes Film Festival rewarded the French director for this story set during the civil war in Sri Lanka, where a former soldier and a young woman and a little girl pose for a family to survive.

The jury of the Cannes Film Festival in 2015 chaired by Joel Coen and Ethan Coen has given its verdict: the Palme d’Or was awarded, somewhat to the surprise despite the qualities of the film, Dheepan Jacques Audiard . It will be in theaters on August 26th. Players side, Rooney Mara and Emmanuelle Bercot win tied the Actress Award while Vincent Lindon leaves with the Best Actor
