Jean-Luc Lahaye sentenced to one year suspended sentence – Le Point

The singer Jean-Luc Lahaye was sentenced Monday by the Paris Criminal Court to one year suspended sentence for corruption minor. The artist of 62 years was prosecuted for having asked a girl under 15 to engage in sexual games via webcam. He was acquitted of the leaders of minor to sexual proposal under fifteen years of child pornography images detention minor under fifteen years.

The court found that the former star of the 80s knew precisely the date of birth of the girl with whom he tchattait on Facebook between March and August 2013. At the trial, held in camera on March 23, the prosecution had requested two-year suspended sentence . One of the lawyers of the singer, Jean-Philippe Touati, welcomed the acquittal on the count of possession of child pornography images, the pattern that “hurt the most” Jean-Luc Lahaye. Under his guidance, Jean-Luc Lahaye does not preclude the possibility of appealing the conviction.

Several associations of child protection, as Innocence in Danger, Children’s Foundation or The Voice the child, are civil parties in this case.
