The Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards said Thursday it will release a solo album on September 18, his first in 23 years. Entitled “Crosseyed Heart,” the album was influenced by the blues, country and reggae, he said. The first single from the album, “Trouble,” will be released on 17 July.
This is the third solo album of the guitarist, who ensured the collaboration of several artists including Norah Jones, with whom he sang a duet, singer Aaron Neville, drummer Steve Jordan and guitarist Waddy Wachtel.
The Tour of Stones in parallel
Two songs involve Bobby Keys, saxophonist Rolling Stones and other groups, who died in December. Keith Richards, 71, busy with the tour of the Stones, that will occur particularly in Quebec on July 15, had released his first solo studio album “Talk is Cheap” in 1988 and the second “Main Offender” in 1992.
