Eiji Tsuburaya would have been 114 years this Tuesday, July 7 2015. The Japanese had specialized in special effects. Among his classics such as Ultraman . But it is movie Godzilla , released in 1954, allowing it to gain international fame . Using reduced and actors dressed models, it rapidly became an easily recognizable style. This film will be the first in a long line featuring overpowering and destructive animals.



Cranes and image overlays

Considered as one of the greatest visionaries of his time, he debuted in film in 1919 as an assistant. A few years later, he becomes cameraman. It then uses cranes or superimposed images to create special effects.
