The new X-Files season is revealed slowly. While new episodes of the cult series created by Chris Carter should be broadcast on January 24 in the US, the American channel Fox revealed some images of the highly anticipated new season. If the sequence is short, it should please the fans of the series who have waited thirteen years now the return of Fox Mulder and Dana Scully as it indeed shows the two special agents investigating cases unexplained together again, somewhat old, flashlight and gun in hand and moving in a dimly lit room.
The trailer, which allows Fox to announce a marathon X-Files 201 days during which an episode will air daily, ends with a mysterious replica that should arouse the curiosity of the viewers. “I believe that what we seek is found in cold cases. I am more than certain that the truth is there,” joked Mulder, played by David Duchovny, Scully, Gillian Anderson who lends his features. “I heard the truth, Mulder. Now what I want is answers,” then replied Scully.
If David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson for six episodes resume the role that made them famous, actor Mitch Pileggi will also return to embody Walter Skinner, like William B. Davis in the role of the man with the cigarette. Prior to the release of the first images, the creator Chris Carter had already delivered some clues about the plot of the new episodes.
