Goncourt high school students: the finalists – Le Figaro

They are only seven writers to claim the prize which will be presented Tuesday, November 17. Who will succeed David Foenkinos?

There are seven finalists for the 28th Prix Goncourt high school students to be handed in Rennes Tuesday, November 17. After a marathon of readings and long meetings two months, 2,000 students, from the second class, or first end, eventually deciding among the 14 novels originally selected.

They are more than seven to be eligible for the prestigious award: Christine Angot ( A love not ), Isabelle Autissier ( Suddenly, only ), Olivier Bleys ( Speech of a tree on the fragility of men ), Alain Mabanckou ( Little Pepper ), Tobie Nathan ( The country that resembles you ), Thomas B. Reverdy ( It was a town ) and Delphine de Vigan ( Based on a true story ).

The Prix Goncourt high school students, organized by Fnac and the Ministry of Education, works just like its predecessor. Students, assisted by their teachers, départagent the first selection made by the Goncourt jury and can nominate two times the same winner.
