Notre Dame de Paris unveils its new voice – Le Figaro

VIDEOS – The new team of actors from the popular musical was revealed by Luc Plamondon and Richard Cocciante. The show will take place from November 23, 2016 at the Convention Center.

18 years ago, in 1998, began the adventure of Notre Dame de Paris on stage. Stars like Garou, Patrick Fiori, Hélène Segara … hits like Beautiful , The time of the cathedrals … are born. Absent since fifteen years in Paris, is in November for forty performances at the convention center that the show will resume form.

Luc Plamondon and composer Richard Cocciante presented at the Theatre du Chatelet on Monday May 30, their new show. If the frame has not changed, the actors are mostly new.

Richard on piano and Luc micro, both very accomplices announced this new beginning. After a few readings of Victor Hugo passages, some piano pieces and the beginning of a tune sung by Richard, the new cast was unveiled.



An international cast

Esmeralda creates surprise. Semifinalist in The Voice , graceful Hiba Tawaji, replaces Lebanese singer Helene Segara. True to the company for fifteen years, Richard Charest, husband of Marie Fugain in life, takes on the suit since 2005. After Gringoire, in 1999, succeeded by Patrick Fiori Phoebus.

Angelo del Vecchio protected Richard Cocciante, in a guttural voice, loud and hoarse, Quasimodo interpreter. He has already played the role in Italian, English and French now. Daniel Lavoie, one of the original team of 1998, equal to himself finds his role Frollo.

A commitment to solidarity

Our Lady of Paris has become international, “insists Luc Plamondon. The show is available in eight languages, including Russian and Korean and crossed fifteen countries. These actors are French, Lebanese, Canadian and strengthen the universality and still very present in the work of Victor Hugo.

The producers of The Musical, Charles Talar and her son Nicolas have partnered with the AJD association Assistance to Young Diabetics. Each spectator when booking his place will make a donation to the AJD and will benefit from a discount on the ticket price and a tax deduction.
