Death of the poet Tomas Tranströmer, 2011 Nobel – Actualitté.com

Thursday, March 26, the Swedish poet Tomas Tranströmer, litétrature Nobel Prize in 2011, has died at the age of 83, as reported by his publisher Bonnier. Since stroke occurred in 1990, the writer was aphasic. On the occasion of receiving his Nobel, his wife had delivered the acceptance speech for him.

Born in 1931 in Stockholm, he discovered at the age of 15 years the literature and poetry, fascinated by classical poets including Latin. In 1954, a student at the University of Stockholm aged 23, he published his first collection. “ Through its condensed images, translucent, it gives us a fresh access to reality ,” explained the Nobel committee to explain his choice
