This pure Paris, born in 1918 in the twelfth district under the name of Henriette Ragon, had taken with her husband in the late 1940s, Patachou restaurant quickly turned into cabaret in Montmartre. A name which soon became his, on stage, supported by Maurice Chevalier.

Many artists made their debut at Patachou and associated their name to his. This is the case of Georges Brassens, with whom she recorded “Mama Papa” in 1953. In particular, interpreted the famous “Ball in Temporal” André Hardellet, also sung by Guy Béart. Hugues Aufray, Michel Sardou, Jacques Brel and Charles Aznavour have also occurred on the stage of Patachou, theater of the last apparition of Edith Piaf, according to Europe 1. 1957 saw the consecration of the artist on the Parisian scenes: Patachou occurs at Olympia and Bobino before embarking on international tours.

She then turned to the theater and cinema. Patachou has played in 1954 in “French Cancan” by Jean Renoir and, much later, in 1999, in “Pola X” by Leos Carax or 2001 in “Belphegor”, the film by Jean-Paul Salomé.
