Highly anticipated by fans after ten years of blank page, the untitled disc has sold 275,536 copies in the “physical” (CD) and 11,787 digital (downloads), a statement of the staff.

According to the specialized site Purecharts.fr , based on data from the GfK institute responsible for establishing the sales figures, this is the best start on the first week for over 13 years.

Johnny Hallyday had better end of 2002 with his album For the life, death , sold over 300,000 copies in a week, according to the site.

Renaud, 63, had not released an album with original songs from red blood , in 2006. This album had also topped the sales at its release with 168,755 sold, Parlophone said in a statement.

on this album of great sadness and a nice sweetness, the voice is damaged, the slowest rate, the rarest humor. Besides the very intimate titles Heloise , Petit Bonhomme and Your battery , which are devoted to its offspring, Renaud was largely inspired by the news. Thus, the pieces I kissed a cop and Hypercacher honor the victims of the attacks, but are totally devoid of pathos.

This release was accompanied by a major promotion campaign of the singer, who is back on tour from fall after recently appeared on stage with the Corsican group I Muvrini.
