The trailer for the new Paul Thomas Anderson! – VOIR.CA

Drum roll: the trailer of the highly anticipated upcoming film Paul Thomas Anderson with Joaquin Phoenix, Inherent Vice, was unveiled this week. Based on the novel by Thomas Pynchon, the film seems to mark a return to the sources pourle director of Boogie nights and punch-drunk love.

This is the seventh film from Paul Thomas Anderson and occurs in a colored coating, quirky and psychedelic, camped in the 70s hippie dreaming and delusional paranoid.

Those who have read the novel of mystery novelist Pynchon (he has never granted a single interview to press very discreet and does) will be happy to find Doc Sportello, a private detective who “lives on one of the beaches in the city and is a follower of the seal rode well and interstellar trip acid “who embarks on a crazy investigation at the request of his ex-girlfriend who fears for the life of her billionaire lover. In an interview with the New York Times, the director said: “We did everything to imitate or plagiarize the comic style that can be seen in movies Zucker brothers, so that the film can be in tune with the book, it is overflowing and fun . “He would, however, a certain melancholy in the background of the film, as wither utopias peace & amp; love and the character of the detective in feel dispossessed.
