Having won Eurovision 2006 with a heavy metal band disguised as monsters, Finland continues to participate in the contest with candidates coming out of the ordinary. So for the next edition, the country will be represented by PKN, a punk band consisting of four members all with autism and Down syndrome 21. The PKN group was selected by the Finnish public, garnering 37% of voters in After the national finals Saturday. They will perform the song “Aina pitää mun” (Every time I have to), which deals with the act of washing and eating correctly. Interviewed by The Guardian , members of PKN say they have no complexes with respect to disability, and they do not want to be seen as Down syndrome but as “normal guy with a mental handicap. “ ” Our style is punk rock.
