Catherine Marchal: “Olivier has long been afraid of women” – Le Figaro

TONIGHT ON TV – In zero Section , the anticipation series of Olivier Marchal ( Braquo , etc.), Catherine Marchal camped Elie Klein, woman cop held to maintain order in a world in chaos and desolation. The actress recalls the series and his character.

Olivier Marchal described Section zero as a post-apocalyptic western of anticipation. What do you think?

I would stress the concept of Western. Section zero is a long battle for the survival of humanity, with its cowboys, his Indians, his conquests, his defeats, and all the savagery own the great westerns of the 50s C ‘ is of course an epic registered in the near future and in a world run by a handful of individuals who have established their power over the ashes of nuclear war.

the science- fiction, what is more anticipation, is a difficult and unexplored French television genre. Fit zero Section Is it difficult?

Who is Elias Klein, your character?

This is a woman to whom they took everything. Her life, her husband, her child, her beauty and even her lover. She’s a cop. She has nothing to lose. The only things he has left is his dignity, his big mouth and his sense of duty. It’s a strong woman. A beautiful character …

One of your most beautiful?

Probably the most beautiful Oliver wrote to me. I think the longer it goes, the more Olivier loves women. He was scared and long gave little thick at their characters. But today he made the talk, love, talk, fight … What luck!

The action scenes were they scared you?
