Traffic: orange red Friday before Saturday on the road – RTL.fr

On Friday August 14 is classified orange on the roads before Saturday a day of colorful red is announcing busiest, according to forecasts by Bison smart. Friday is classified orange in both directions. Saturday will be “a day still very hard on all major axes connecting the country”, declared red “nationally regardless of the direction of travel ” according to the agency.

It is therefore recommended to avoid in the direction of departures: large connecting shafts of the northern half of the country from 10:00 to 14:00 those of the southern half between 10.00 and 18.00 and those of the great connecting pins in the crossing of the Massif Central (north-south or east-west) from 10:00 to 2:00 p.m..



A green Sunday

For returns: avoid large connecting shafts of the southern half from 11:00 20:00, those in the northern half between 15:00 and 20:00 and the great Massif Central crossing axes (north-south or east-west) from 11:00 to 16:00. Sunday will be green in the direction of departures even if it takes as far as possible “to avoid the crossing of the A7 and Lyon in the Rhone Valley from 10:00 to 16:00,” said Bison smart. In the sense returns, orange day, it will avoid large northbound connecting pins from 11:00 to 20:00.

Also, traffic will be “very difficult” throughout the weekend on the Mediterranean Arc, between Menton near the Italian border and the Perthus, on the border with Spain. Last Saturday, the jams of France had reached a peak of 972 km at mid-day, a record since the beginning of the summer.
