Laurence Engel, the first woman to command the BNF – The Point

The mediator book Laurence Engel was appointed head of the National Library of France, the statement of the Council of Ministers issued Wednesday. Laurence Engel, 49, wife of former presidential adviser Aquilino Morelle, is the first woman at the head of the BNF, most important cultural institution in France. Appointed for a term of five years, she succeeds Bruno Racine.
