Migrants : Jean-Pierre Pernaut slips in a full JT – The Point

This Thursday, November 10, the JT 13 hours on TF1 has just presented a report on the maraudes of the Red Cross with no homes fixed and to announce the images that follow on the opening door of the Chapel at Paris for the reception centre for refugees, its nonremovable presenter writes a comment at the tone quite personal, as noted by Buzzfeed.

“Here it is, the more room for the homeless, but at the same time the migrant centres continue to open across France. Opening today of a humanitarian centre to house 400 men to the porte de la Chapelle in Paris, the city provides 50 to 80 arrivals per day. Centre very temporary in order to house a few days before the orient!”

With this remark, the deputy director of the information of TF1 takes an idea often conveyed by activists of the extreme right. A false idea, as explained in The World since the accommodation offered to the homeless or asylum seekers are not the same.

This is not the first time that Jean-Pierre Pernaut is noted for his stance on migrants. In September, he worried about the social networks of the potential opening of a migrants ‘ camp in the commune of the Yvelines department describing the project as “heresy”. The previous year in June 2015, he shared on his page in Facebook a hoax relayed by the sites of the extreme right and between the pensioners of the French and the immigrants. Contacted by Buzzfeed, the communication service of TF1, has promised an explanation, “after viewing the sequence”.
