The defense wobbly Stéphane Edouard, a sociologist at M6 accused of sexism – The Express

No, Stéphane Edouard, a sociologist of Married at first sight, on M6, is not sexist. At least, that’s what it says in a blog post, published Monday, on its website, the Men of influence.

“I do since a few days articles news defamatory statements, on the basis of excerpts and quotes are truncated and/or private context, he laments. [...] All those who follow me on this blog know that am neither misogynist nor sexist. I find it regrettable that this work could be reduced to a few phrases out of context and in no way reflect the reality of my job and the man I am.”

“Draw the women”, it is not of him

Stéphane Edouard provides that the expression “dresser of women”, reported in a survey of the site 20 Minutes, is not of him. “This expression is not of me. She was born of the silly idea of a blogger that I intentionally kept for the shelling and that I do not agree with, point by point, in the video posted on my blog.” Stéphane Edouard broadcast the video in question, in which it appears, indeed, in disapproval with the term.

On Europe 1, the sociologist also said that it was ‘a tissue of untruths”. It is defended by Catherine Solano, sexologist of the show Married at first sight.

The word of rape victims called into question

On the other hand, what to say of his intervention in 2014 on the internet radio Spike Seduction, in which he said, doubt accusations of rape aimed at Bill Cosby?

“I remember that, from a degree of ‘staritude’ just draw, type, reality tv, or a musician in a band that toured, it is no longer H [man] which will look for the girls, it is girls who are lining up at the door of the lodge. This is not misogynistic, it is the reality.”

According to Stéphane Edouard, a star, whatever it was, would be unable to rape a person, because his status allows him to receive many proposals. He continues: “That the actor the most popular of the 80′s need to compel women to have sex with him, it is already absurd in and of itself. It should be understood that already, an actor of television series shabby receives on a daily basis of the proposals explicitly sexual.”

What of his tweets, published on the profile of the site, Men of influence, who have not been removed? “When a woman says the word alcohol in an invitation, the idea of sex is never far away”, said one of them.

While another described the feminist activists “silly useful indifferent to ethics”.

Stéphane Edouard is “Meninist”

In 2013, on the site Masculine Singular, Stéphane Edouard is also risky to differentiate between the “young girls”, “women”, not without resorting to many cliches. “A little girl because of her beauty its (unique) currency exchange,” says the sociologist. He continues: “A little girl is proud to be the entirety of his meal outside to not cook, thus confusing the modern and the total inability to do anything with his hands.”

Stéphane Edouard also called “Meninist”, in opposition to the term “Feminist”. In a video posted on YouTube, he wears a sweat-shirt with this inscription.

what is the “meninisme”? On the Twitter profile of the “movement”, followed by more than a million subscribers, the internet users can read a collection of jokes more sexist than the others (all written in English). One of the tweet said to reveal “How women jump to conclusions”.

another refers to a transgender woman “ugly”.

The Express tried to join Stéphane Edouard, without success.
