Death of Mike Connors, the legendary Joe Mannix… and also as an actor in cinema – Le Figaro

VIDEOS – The unforgettable detective in the mystery series cult of the late 60′s has just passed away at the age of 91 years. Movie buffs will remember that he worked with Cecil B. DeMille, Romy Schneider, Alec Guinness, Robert Redford and Jack Lemmon.

The american actor Mike Connors has just passed away at the age of 91 years. For posterity, it will remain as Joe Mannix, the great private detective of the cult series police, which caused a sensation on the television screens at the end of the 60s.

But for movie buffs, unscrupulous, the actor from california has not been as the hero of a series, it was mythical. During a long career that lasted from 1952 to 2003, he worked with some of the biggest names in world cinema.

The anthologies of the 7th art will recall that Cecil B. DeMille gave him the character of the Amalekite herder in The Ten Commandments (1956). He also played in the comedy Lend me your husband (1964) in the company of Romy Schneider and Jack Lemmon.
