Paris – Edition: Guillaume Musso is still in the lead in sales in 2016 – The Express

The inescapable Marc Lévy is in 4th place out of twenty, preceded by Anna Todd, an American 27-year-old author of the series erotic “After“, says the annual survey conducted with GFK and that integrates for the first time the foreign writers.

Among these, one finds without surprise the heavy anglo-saxon Harlan Coben (5th), Mary Higgins-Clark (10th), Stephen King (14th) or Michael Connelly (20th). But also the mysterious Elena Ferrante, in 9th place with the second installment of “the Girlfriend prodigious“.

The novelty of this record, says The Figaro, is the score of Michel Bussi, a professor of geography at the university of Rouen and researcher in electoral geography CNRS, who has sold 1.135.000 copies of his two latest novels, “Mom is wrong” and “The time is assassin“.

Despite this breakthrough, Guillaume Musso has not too worry : with more than 1.8 million copies, it sold about 700,000 pounds more than Bussi, and in addition to that it sells both in pocket and large format. Gold, says the Figaro littéraire, the pocket represents approximately one-third of all books sold in France.

The data used for this investigation were collected from 5,000 points of sale, taking into account the ‘ outputs fund“, that is to say, the actual sales.
