The Academy of arts and sciences the film made the announcement on Tuesday that the actress, 63 years of age, magnetic “It”, was one of five actresses vying for the Oscar for best actress. Answer in the night from 26 to 27 February in Los Angeles.

For the rest of the appointments of the 88th academy awards ceremony, floats like a déjà vu. The trio of favorites remains the same as for the Golden Globes. Hoping for Isabelle Huppert as the points in common between the two ceremonies do not stop there. The musical comedy “La La Land” by Damien Chazelle, sung and danced by Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, leads largely to the Oscar race with 14 nominations – a record – including those for best film, best actress and best actor. The science-fiction film “First contact” with Amy Adams and “Moonlight”, a drama about a young black boy and homosexual, one after the other with each up to 8 appointments.

Isabelle Huppert will not be the only representative of the film habs at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The very touching animated film “My life as a Zucchini” (France-Switzerland) and “turtle in red” (France-Belgium-Japan) could create a surprise in the face of Disney’s “Zootopia” and “Vaiana”. In addition, the feature-length film from Asghar Farhadi, “The Client”, a co-production franco-iranian, is in the running for the statuette for best foreign film.

also – and this is another highlight of this selection – the Academy has honored films starring many of the actors african-americans as “Fences” with Denzel Washington and Viola Davis, or “Moonlight” for which Mahershala Ali and Naomie Harris are selected for the price of the second role of the female and male respectively. Octavia Spencer, already got an oscar for “The color of feelings” in 2012, is also a candidate for the Oscar for best supporting role for “The figures of the shadow”, relant the adventure of women scientists afro-american during the conquest of space.
