Rene Angelil, husband and impresario Celine Dion, died at 73 – L’Express

The message was posted on the evening of 14 January on the Facebook page of Celine Dion: “It is with great sadness that we announce that Rene Angelil, 73, died this morning at his home in Las Vegas after a long and courageous battle against cancer. The family wishes to mourn in privacy. Additional information will be communicated in the coming days. ”

Rene Angelil had undergone the removal of a cancerous tumor in the throat in December 2013, recurrence of cancer in the cervical region 15 years earlier.
