Twenty-five years of existence and more than three million listed films. IMDB, The Internet Movie Data Base , this week celebrated its 25th anniversary and took the opportunity to spread its Top 25 best films of the last 25 years. The result is a ranking that showcases the American productions and a few well trustés filmmakers by the public and Hollywood: Christopher Nolan appear in the list with five films including Interstellar Inception (nine made) Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino with three works each.
In this ranking IMDB isolated by year between 1990 and 2014, the film with the best average data collected by its users. Each user with an account on the site can indeed be attributed to any film a score from 1 to 10. If the classification published by IMDB need not certify the cinematic quality of the films, it helps to highlight the popularity of some feature films and certain directors.
Nakache, Toledano and Benigni … Only the European classification
Of the 25 best films, only two are European productions. untouchables , directed by Eric Toledano and Olivier French Nakache and tops the list of best films of 2011. While Life is Beautiful Italian Roberto Benigni tops of 1997. One could also add the feature film Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind … Released in 2004, this film starring Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet course was produced by a US company (Focus Features), but was created by the French Michel Gondry.
