Death of Percy Sledge, interpreter of “When a Man Loves a Woman” – The World

The American singer Percy Sledge, interprets the famous title When a Man Loves a Woman , died Tuesday, April 14 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was 73 years old. His agent, Steve Green, announced the news on ABC News , stating that “fought against liver cancer for over a year.”

The singer had recorded in 1966, the tube that had taken the hit parades head for several weeks. It is still considered one of the greatest songs of the soul.

According to the magazine Rolling Stone , while Sledge had lost both his job in construction and small friend party in Los Angeles, when he imagined the title When a Man Loves a Woman .
