According to the death certificate of the actor, reproduced by Radar Online and CBS News, among others, Robin Williams was cremated on August 12, one day after being found hanged with a belt in his home by his personal assistant. The certificate also states that the cause of death to be determined with certainty “based on the results of the investigation.”

Robin Williams was the one of the most brilliant actors of his generation. Considered a “comic genius”, he received an Oscar for his performance in “Good Will Hunting” in 1998, and five Golden Globes, among other awards during a career spanning four decades rich and varied.
