Shy TV channels tribute to Lauren Bacall –

TRIBUTE – TCM Classic Film and Ciné +, two specialty channels programmed masterpieces in which Hollywood star played …

While the death of Robin Williams prompted many free channels to upset their programming, only pay TV subscription pay tribute to the icon of the golden age of Hollywood, Lauren Bacall. The superstar will be honored on specialty TCM Classic Film and Ciné + coming days.

Ciné + Classic program tonight from 0:10 West Frontier , the classic directed by J. Lee Thompson in 1959 Subscribers may review the movie in color on August 16 at 8:25 am, August 17th at 18:40, and at 13:30 on August 18.

West Frontier takes place in 1905 at the northwest frontier of India. Lauren Bacall portrays the governess of the son of a Maharaja. The latter is responsible for escorting the child with an English captain, Scott, in a country undergoing revolution.

TCM propose on September 16 to review two masterpieces in which Lauren Bacall played: Passengers of the Night and The Port of anxiety . Both restored new version. Both films depict the mythical couple Bogart-Bacall.

Passengers of the Night produced by Delmer Daves in 1947 recounts the escape of a prisoner (Humphrey Bogart) unjustly accused of murdering his wife, who finds refuge with a beautiful stranger (Lauren Bacall)

The Port of anxiety Howard Hawks came out in 1944 The shoot marks the meeting between Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall. The film is set during World War II on the island of Martinique. TCM will also air an exclusive interview with the actress from 20.20 in which the star talks about his past. An interview nurtured many extracts, archive footage and anecdotes.
