Box Office France: Why I have not eaten … 5th best start … – Le Figaro

With 151,071 spectators and despite mixed reviews, the film motion capture of Jamel Debbouze makes a good start, helped by the large number of copies available.

The critics were scathing (Nicolas Shaller of Nouvel Observateur headlined “The totally indigestible turnip Debbouze”), but the French does not have cure and Why I have not eaten my father , the adaptation of the novel by Roy Lewis, conducted Wednesday’s fifth start of the year. According to CBO Box office 151 071 spectators made the trip to see the adventures of prehistoric double Jamel.

In Wednesday’s outputs, the film is placed before Tinker Bell and the Creature ( 68 768 entries), Dark Places with Charlize Theron (14 467 entries ) or Lost River , the Ryan Gosling film which only 7769 entries.

Compared to the outputs of the first four months of the year, the film even happens to climb before the American blockbuster Divergente 2 and ranks right behind American Sniper , the feature Clint Eastwood. Jamel Debbouze can therefore push a “whew” of relief: even if the seven years of production, the eight writers, 35 million budget and no less than 726 copies throughout France, a flop would have been a shame.
