Death of Richard Kiel: Shark bite no longer James Bond – Screenrush

Richard Kiel, the interpreter of the fearsome shark, giant with steel teeth in two episodes of the James Bond franchise, died Wednesday at the age of 74. Its impressive size (2.18 meters) made him instantly recognizable.

The American actor Richard Kiel died Wednesday at the age of 74. He was famous for his portrayal of Shark (Shark VO), the giant with steel jaws appeared in The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) and then in Moonraker (1979). Its colossal size of 2.18 meters was confined to the roles of giants, but his innocent face sometimes allowed him to play nice as wicked.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Richard Dawson Kiel began his career in roles of giants or giants like his cameo appearance in the gym facing a Jerry Lewis skinny and ill at ease in Dr. Jerry and Mr Love (1963), and in a few films of prehistoric adventures (Eegah) or alien (Creatures of Kolos). Recently, Richard Kiel had doubled in the warrior Vlad Rapunzel (2010). He died Wednesday at age 74, leaving James Bond fans a little orphans. Because if 007 agents are replaceable, there was only one shark.
