Clap end for the 71th Venice Film Festival with the Golden Lion delivered to the Swedish director Roy Andersson for “A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence”, while Adam Driver won the Best Actress award for “Hungry Hearts”.

But once again, the Venice Film Festival has upset the odds: If the film Joshua Oppenheimer won the Grand Jury Prize, one of Inarritu is left empty-handed, and is Sweden’s Roy Andersson was awarded Golden Lion With A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence.
Despite its four representatives in Competition, France will save the honor by Roman Paul, Marcello Mastroianni Award winner given to a young actor for his performance in The Last hammer. Finally, note that the Italian Hungry Hearts was awarded the Volpi Cup for men and women, as the acting awards were given to Alba Rohrwacher and Adam Driver, which will be seen soon in Star Wars.
