Festival of Marrakech “Gold Star” for the Russian film “Corrections … – The Obs

Marrakech (Morocco) (AFP) – The Russian film “Corrections class”, the young director Ivan I. Tverdovsky won Saturday night “The Star of or “at the end of the 14th edition of the International Festival of Marrakech (MIFF) in Morocco, which was particularly marked this year with a tribute to Japanese cinema.

A total of 87 films were shown during the 10 days of MIFF, including 26 dedicated to Japanese cinema, which was the subject of a special tribute .

British actors Jeremy Irons, Adel Imam Egyptian and American Viggo Mortensen, among others, were also honored, including during the traditional open-air screenings on the famous Jemaa el Fna square.

The Jury Prize for his part was awarded the Swiss film “Chrieg” Simon Jaquemet.
