The film “Love,” directed by Gaspar Noé, must be prevented under 18 because of its non-simulated sex scenes, according to a decision of the Paris Administrative Tribunal sent Monday.

The judge referred, in a decision dated July 31, has indeed suspended the license to permit the film in French cinemas from July 15, “as it does not prohibit the representation of the film at the age of 18,” but only to age 16.

“In France, love is now no under 18″ reacted on Twitter Vincent Maraval, distributor and co-producer of the feature film presented at the last festival Cannes. This 3D film recounts the relationship between two young people through flashbacks interspersed with voiceover and shows many scenes of sex, not simulated in part, sometimes in close-up: a woman a man masturbating until ejaculation, a love scene with three, another in a swingers club, one with a transvestite.

Seized by the association “Promote”, an organization classified in the far-right which seeks “the promotion of Judeo-Christian values in all areas of social life,” the judge considers that the “repetition” and “important in the scenario” non-simulated sex scenes are ‘likely to offend the sensibilities of minors “.

Twice in June and early July, after being seized again by the Minister of Culture, the works Classification Committee of the National Cinema Centre (CNC) recommended a ban for under 16 only. A notice followed by the Minister for the endorsement early July.

“When we say we want to make a film about a passionate love, actually making a film where people love each other, s’ kiss, make love “, said the Argentine director in July of 51, for whom” Love “has” nothing shocking “.
