The Good big giant, the new film by Steven Spielberg, is an adaptation of the famous children’s book written by the writer Roald Dahl. Check out the first pictures of this family adventure that opens in theaters July 20, 2016.

After several films dealing with serious and serious subjects, of War Horse at the Bridge spies through Lincoln, Steven Spielberg returns to the children’s story. His next feature film will indeed Bon big giant, an adaptation of the book of the same name written by Roald Dahl in 1982. The British author is well known to the public, many of his novels have indeed been adapted to the big screen ; include eg Charlie and the Chocolate Tim Burton, Danny DeVito Matilda or the latest Fantastic Mr Fox Wes Anderson.

The history of this “BGG” recounts the meeting between a girl and a gentle giant that will make him discover the wonders and dangers of the Land of Giants. But when man-eaters wicked giants invade the human world, the girl, assisted by the Good big giant and the Queen of England embark on an epic adventure to stop them.

The Band -announce has just been unveiled and shows the main character, little Sophie, played by Ruby Barnhill, to meet the famous BGG, portrayed by Mark Rylance. The actor behind the Good big giant CGI had worked with Spielberg on The Bridge of Spies lending his face to the Russian spy Rudolf Abel.

Note that this is the late Melissa Mathison (ET), who died last November, which is responsible for writing the screenplay of the film. For music, we find again the legendary John Williams, longtime Spielberg collaborator. The least we can say is that these first images have very Burtonienne tone with this London filmed at night and this empty orphanage and disaster traveled by a lonely girl telling us in voiceover the genesis of history .
