Rock group launches a fundraising campaign for victims. They invite artists from around the world to regain their title I Love You All The Time , to repay their copyright to the foundation Sweet Stuff .
The Eagles of Death Metal still have the heart turned toward Paris. The rock band, who played November 13 on stage at the Bataclan when terrorists opened fire there, launched a charity operation. In an open letter, published in Rolling Stone, Josh Homme, co-founder of the American training, calls for solidarity of artists.
The group has launched the “Play It Forward” initiative . The goal? To ensure that the maximum of artists return to their song I Love You All The Time to bring together the most possible money to help the victims of the attacks famillles. Merchandisaing including that of the head of the group, Nick Alexander, who died during the evening.
“For every sold recovery, we pledge to donate all of our copyright on the song Sweet Stuff to the foundation,” said Josh Homme. The foundation particularly helps musicians and their families in difficulty, due to illness or disability. “We also ask you to donate money earned through this recovery,” said the guitarist.
He continued: “In the same spirit, we encourage you to offer to other artists to take any of your titles and follow the same procedure to give your royalties to Play It Forward “
My Morning Jacket is one of the first groups to be taken I Love You All The Time , at his concert on 28 November in New York. Tuesday, 2 December, the London post-punk quartet Savages did the same at the Maroquinerie in Paris.
