The Cesar for best presenter Caesar since the world began back probably to Florence Foresti. The centerpiece of a ceremony which ended at midnight on the dot, achieved without fault (except perhaps the “running gag” with – or without – Vincent Cassel, quickly sucks).
The Floresti ignited the tray Châtelet Theatre with his banter and his customary ease. Florence made the right choice by inviting Jérôme Commandeur and Jonathan Cohen, whose texts are downright funny. The interludes were well sent, including “Blocked” with Vanessa Paradis and the strange almost motionless delivery of yet restless Christine and The Queens (on stilts?) Showing “It’s Only Mystery” tube “Subway”.
Michael Douglas, in French, was a crazy class. The emotion sequence returns to Rod Paradot, the young troublemaker “The head-up”. The price of “delivering” the least funny is awarded to Jean-Hugues Anglade. For once, a long time, performing intermittent have not invaded the stage.
Diversity in honor
welcoming “Mustang”, “Fatima”, “the High Head” or “the market Act”, the 4,673 members of the Academy of Caesar made a balanced and committed verdict. “Mustang” (four statuettes including Best First Film and Best Screenplay) calls machismo in Muslim countries, “Fatima” (three statuettes including Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Film) the conditions of integration in France, “the law market “(best actor) violence of the labor market,” La Tête Haute “(best male Newcomer, best Supporting actor), difficulties in reintegrating adolescents.
The “real issues” as they say. Treated with compassion, intelligence, they also deliver, in their own ways and to varying degrees, messages of hope. Vincent Lindon (performing the rare double Cannes / Caesar, the first since Gerard Depardieu in “Cyrano de Bergerac”), Benoît Magimel, Rod Paradot ( “The High Head”) have been justly rewarded. Named for the fourth time in his career, Luchini is still missed. He was to be expected, it did not come.
However his partner, Sidse Babett Knudsen wonderful was distinguished as Best Actress in a Supporting Role and Best Female Newcomer Hanrot Zita. (We associate to his reward Soria Zeroual and Kenza Noah Aïche, which form with it the wonderful trio of “Fatima”). Breezy in “Margaret” (four awards), Catherine Frot (second left with the Caesar of his career (after “Un Air de Famille”.
