Re-opening of the Bataclan concert : Sting’s already full – Franceinfo

“All the tickets for the concert of Sting have been sold, thank you for your understanding”, was it written shortly before 11: 00 the home page of the website at the Bataclan. The sale had started an hour earlier and, very quickly, the site has been saturated due to a strong influx. Less than an hour later, the home page announced that the concert was full.
The commercial department of the paris club said that about 1,000 tickets have been sold, without being able to determine the exact number. The capacity of the room, remade from the inside out after eight months of work, is of 497 people. The families of the victims and a handful of officials, all invited for the occasion, will assistance, announced Friday, Jérôme Langle t, the boss of Lagardère, Live Entertainment and chairman of the Bataclan.

The arrival of Sting at the Bataclan, room in which he had played in 1979 with his former band The Police, will be the first concert to be held at le Bataclan since the attacks of November 13, 2015-which had 130 people dead in the Island of France. British star, who released a new album on Friday (57th & 9th) will not take a stamp and the proceeds of this first concert will be donated to two associations of victims: Life for Paris and 13 November: Brotherhood and Truth.

Victims and survivors of the attack, including members of the group Eagles of Death Metal that was playing on the stage in the evening of the killing, are expected to attend the ceremony.
