THE LIVE – The singer is the new guest of our weekly meeting to present the delicate compositions from his new album, Our Stories
Noted initially in the circuit of rock and alternative bars mid 1990, La Grande Sophie from Marseille has been welcomed by a wide audience throughout his successive productions. His new album, Our Stories , is perhaps what she does best.
After a severe disk, The Phantom of the space , her new songs approach life with more lightness. The inventive arrangements were designed by escorts handpicked Ludovic Bruni (guitar), Vincent Taurelle (keyboards) and Vincent Taeger (drums).
In recent years, La Grande Sophie also lends his pen to interpreters as Françoise Hardy and Sylvie Vartan. Twenty years after its debut, it can be proud of the progress. “I’m slow, I do things at my own pace,” she admits, amused.
We will be grateful to have known him become indispensable without uproars or strokes of brilliance, but by building a personal and singular work. Within the French female scene, La Grande Sophie holds a place of her own, next to those with whom she founded the ephemeral group Françoise Camille, Emily Loizeau Jeanne Cherhal and Olivia Ruiz.
