After a documentary released last July ( Amy , directed by Asif Kapadia), Amy Winehouse is about to be the subject of a biopic, whose title has not yet been revealed. The singer, who died in 2011 at the age of 27, could be construed by Noomi Rapace, revealed the Time . The latter is currently in talks with the production.
The Swedish actress, who achieved international star status with his role Salander in the Swedish version of the adaptation of Millennium , also noted in big Hollywood productions such as Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011), Prometheus (2012) or Passion (2013). It will be on view Alien. Paradise Lost Ridley Scott, expected for 2017
“An innovative approach”
If Noomi Rapace won the role, it will be directed by Irish director Kirsten Sheridan. The latter is working on this feature film with what it sees as an approach “innovative, full of emotion and life, as and we will look at his life and art.” She told the trade magazine Variety it refused to fall into the ease and make a film about “a diva, a tortured genius, a lost soul tormented by the tabloids …”
A point of view that should appeal to Mitch Winehouse, the father of the missing singer. Shortly after the release of the documentary Amy , he had risen on his Twitter account before deleting messages. “I’m disappointed. It could have been very good,” he wrote before declaring the Sun “Amy was furious. It’s not what she wanted.”
