The third man that counted in the life of George Michael is probably known by his biggest fans. In 1990, the singer embodies the man in all his splendor and his manhood for millions of fans and admirers. It is the time of the clip Freedom! 90, which reunites supermodels Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Tatjana Patitz, Christy Turlington and Cindy Crawford. In the clip, they don’t play his girlfriends but sing the title to his place. Out of sight, George Michael falls in love with Anselmo Feleppa, a designer met the following year when it was programmed at the festival Rock in Rio.

Six months after their meeting, Feleppa learns of her hiv status. In 2009 in the Huffington Post, the singer remembered to have been terrified by the new and have had no one to turn to : “My family was not even aware that I was gay.” In 1992, George Michael spring his army of top models for the song Too Funky that it offers, as well as two other previously unreleased tracks, the compilation Red Hot + Dance. The album, which brings together personalities such as Madonna, Seal and Lisa Stansfield, is published to raise funds for the research against aids.

Anselmo Feleppa died of a cerebral hemorrhage, linked to the disease, in 1993. For eighteen months, George Michael is unable to write anything. And then comes the Jesus to a Child. The title is taken from the album Older and is number one in the uk charts in 1996. At the time, the song and its content raises new rumors about the sexuality of its author. After coming out forced, but oh so important, George Michael will dedicate systematically to the song to Anselmo before the singing…
