Mick Jagger, 73 years old, became a father for the eighth time on Thursday. His son and the mom, the american dancer Melanie Hamrick, is doing well, announced the spokesperson of the singer of the Rolling Stones.
“The son of Melanie Hamrick and Mick Jagger is born in New York and they are both angels. Mick was in the maternity for delivery. The mom and the baby are well and we ask the media to respect their privacy,” said the agent of the star, Bernard Doherty, in a press release.
This is the first child of Jagger with Melanie Hamrick, a dancer of 30 years he started to attend after the suicide in 2014 from his previous girlfriend, the designer L Wren Scott.
The british singer is already a father of seven other children, aged 17 to 46 years, he has fathered with four companions: k a r, Jade, Elizabeth, James, Georgia, Gabriel and Lucas.
Also grand-father of five children, he became a great grandfather in may 2014 when his granddaughter Assisi gave birth to a daughter.
Mick Jagger is not the only member of the Stones to continue to make babies at an advanced age. In may, the guitarist Ronnie Wood, 69 years old, has had her fifth and sixth children when his wife Sally gave birth to twin girls, Gracie Jane and Alice Rose.
The Rolling Stones just released their 23rd album, a disc of covers of standards of the Chicago blues, eleven years after their last studio album.
