The king of the blues died. The American singer and guitarist BB King died in the night of Thursday 14 to Friday 15 May, in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA). Aged 89, he was admitted twice to hospital in a month, due to high blood pressure. BB King suffered from diabetes since 1980.
Born in Mississippi in 1925, the singer was known for his title Three O’Clock Blues (1952) The Thrill Is Gone (1970), and W hen Love Comes to Town ( 1989 ) e n collaboration with U2. He had all performed more than 50 albums.
Another legendary guitarist Eric Clapton, reacted on Facebook at the announcement of the death of the king of the blues. “I just want to express my grief and say thank you to my dear friend BB King , has he said in a video on Friday. There has been a beacon for all of us who loved this kind of music and I thank from my heart. “
