EXCLUSIVE – While a new pink tag appeared Thursday on Dirty Corner , the work already controversial vandalized twice, the President of the Public Establishment the castle, the museum and the Versailles National Domain confides in Le Figaro.
It is in the columns of Le Figaro that Catherine Pégard agreed to return on acts of vandalism affecting the Dirty Corner of the English artist native of Bombay, Anish Kapoor. In this interview, the president of the Public Establishment of the Palace, Museum and National Estate of Versailles admits he was harassed on social networks and had received “thousands of letters, too often anonymous.”
Regarding the same damage, it considers that “there is a difference in kind and degree between vandalism and incitement to hatred. It is an attack against Anish Kapoor, but also against the Palace of Versailles and against culture in general. ”
