Paolo Sorrentino: “Kid, I wanted to be Michael Caine” – Le Figaro

INTERVIEW – The director of The Great Beauty, on the occasion of the release of his new movie Youth, looks back on his career and motivations that led him to make a film about old age.

Paolo SORRENTINO. – Let us say that the adults always seem more interesting. They have a much greater awareness of themselves, of life, and what they experienced. This helps me to tell them.
