After Heartbreaker, missed reunion between Romain Duris and Pascal Chaumeil in 2010 – Screenrush

Following the triumph of “Heartbreaker”, Romain Duris and Pascal Chaumeil had planned to work together on an adventure comedy, “To live is better than death”, with Marion Cotillard. A film that finally never been shot.

In 2010, following the triumph of Heartbreaker (3.8 million admissions), Romain Duris and Pascal Chaumeil had Starts a new joint film project. “To live is better than die” told the story of a hotel worker improvising writer to get out of a dirty business. He then invented the plot of an action movie where the hero will have the traits of those he meets in real life.

Marginal Tribute to Jean-Paul Belmondo, this film was to gather Romain Duris and Marion Cotillard but ultimately never emerged. It will eventually took five anq for the two men working together again, during the filming of this year a little job, an adaptation of a novel by Iain Levinson, starring Alice Belaïdi , and Michel Blanc (also screenwriter of the film).

A film whose output will be posthumous for Pascal Chaumeil since the filmmaker died last Sunday at the age of 54.
